Join us every Saturday for some Outdoor Sports and Recreation (OSR). We will alternate each weekend between hiking Riverplace Trail and hill sprints at Canyon Vista. All levels welcome!
Incline sprints are one of the most effective exercise for building an endurance, strength, explosive power, and destroying body fat. It is the ideal compliment to a strength training program in that it can produce a high level of intensity without a high risk of injury. This intensity will result in a high calorie fat burning session that will not only develop the body, but the mind as well.
March 3 at 1:30 we will be meeting at Canyon Vista Middle School. This is open to anyone interested and suitable for ALL fitness levels. We will start the workout at the top field next to the track and football field. There we will start with a basic dynamic stretch routine and some exercises to help improve running mechanics. Once warm, we will head .5 miles to the bottom of Spicewood Springs Road where the start of our incline training will begin. Each session will be challenge the hill a few different ways. (speed, form, resistance, planes). There will be outlined goals for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. This is a self paced workout and the environment will be highly motivated.
